Scope & Investment | Native iOS + Android, built on Square | August 2026
August 5, 2026 · Re: Fast Eddy’s Mobile Order App — Scope & Investment
Dear Fast Eddy’s Team,
Mox Collective will design and build native iOS and Android apps, published to the App Store and Google Play, that let your customers order from their car and have it brought out to them. A customer browses a selected range of in-store products, pays from their phone, drives up, and taps to let the store know they’ve arrived and where they’re parked — no going inside, no waiting in line.
The apps run entirely on Square, so Square handles all products, pricing, payments, and order routing with no second system for your staff to maintain. Orders land in the Square Order Manager your team already uses, the arrival notification appears right on the point of sale with the customer’s vehicle and spot details, and when staff mark the order ready the customer gets a push notification.
This is a focused engagement: discovery, UI design, Square integration, development for both platforms, testing, app store submission, launch, and staff training. We plan on 12 to 15 weeks from kickoff to launch — the swing depends mostly on Apple’s developer-account verification and the readiness of your Square catalog, both of which we address up front in this proposal.
We’d love to build this with you. Please feel free to contact us directly at jeff@wearemox.com or 208-240-7013.
Three taps from the driver’s seat to the trunk — with nothing new for your staff to learn beyond the Square tools they already run.
Customers browse a selected range of in-store products, save a payment method, and check out with a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Past purchases reorder in a couple of taps.
When they arrive, one tap tells the store they’re here — including their vehicle and the spot they’re parked in. No going inside, no waiting in line.
The arrival notification appears on the point of sale so an employee can walk the order out. When staff mark it ready, the customer gets a push notification.
Square handles all products, pricing, payments, and order routing. There is no second catalog or dashboard for your team to maintain.
Every order lands in the Square Order Manager, showing staff who ordered and exactly what they bought.
The “I’m here” notification appears on the POS with the customer’s vehicle and parking-spot details.
Customers create an account once, save a payment method, and reorder favorites in a couple of taps.
Native wallet payments on both platforms — the fastest possible checkout from the driver’s seat.
Customers know the moment their order is marked ready — and staff know the moment a car pulls in.
A focused plan from kickoff to both app stores. The 12-to-15-week window depends primarily on two things outside the build itself: Apple’s organization verification for your developer account, and your Square catalog being complete — so both start in week one.
Two dependencies sit on Fast Eddy’s side of the table, and they are the main reason the timeline reads 12–15 weeks instead of a single date:
One honest scoping note: this first phase deliberately excludes scheduled pickup times and age-restricted products such as alcohol, tobacco, and lottery. Each carries additional cost or regulatory requirements, and each is available as a follow-on once the core app is live.
The budget range for this project is $15,000. We operate hourly, so the final total will more than likely land between $12,000 and $18,000. The line items below show exactly where the estimated hours go.
Rates by discipline: $200/hr for development and server work; $150/hr for research, design, Square integration, and testing; $100/hr for project management and app store coordination. Work is billed monthly against actual hours — you pay for what we do, not a padded fixed fee.
Because we bill hourly, the final number follows the actual work: if your Square catalog is clean and reviews go smoothly, this lands nearer the low end; added complexity moves it toward the high end — and we flag that before the hours are spent, never after. Ongoing hosting, developer account fees, and Square processing fees are billed directly to Fast Eddy’s and are not marked up. Every project includes a 90-day warranty at no cost.
| Item | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Developer | $99 / year | In Fast Eddy’s name; requires D-U-N-S organization verification |
| Google Play | $25 one-time | In Fast Eddy’s name |
| Square Processing | Square’s standard rates | Per your existing Square agreement — unchanged by the app |
| App Hosting | Billed at cost | Backend services and push notifications; modest monthly cost |
This is a small, sharply scoped project, and we’ve priced and planned it that way: one team, both platforms, everything running through the Square system you already own. No second catalog to maintain, no new dashboard to learn — just customers who never have to leave their car.
The two things worth doing this week are the ones that gate everything else: starting Apple’s developer-account verification and getting the Square catalog complete. Say the word and we’ll walk you through both on a short call.
